This project consisted of a 70,000 square-foot, three-story structural steel structure that is among the most technologically advanced science education centers in California. This facility provides 100 rooms that include 23 state-of-the-art labs, histology, anthropology, chemistry, anatomy, biology, physics, geology, earth sciences, and astronomy. The facility houses a specimen pond, astronomy dome, a greenhouse and cadavers for anatomy analysis.
Our scope of services on this project consists of providing materials testing, special inspection and materials testing of reinforced concrete, shop welding and fabrication, field welding and erection, high strength bolting, and reinforced masonry. This project also includes providing aggregate testing including the original mix design and also additional mix design testing for the construction materials, fireproofing was done to ensure safety of the entire building, roofing, plaster, veneer was also performed. Anchor bolt and shot pin testing for structural systems, piles testing, asphalt sampling and testing, were also performed by our team. Inspection of the metal studs, metal fabrications inspection, was also performed on this project. Materials testing and documents are being recorded in an appropriate log. Quality control reports and any other required jurisdiction forms will be submitted. A final verified report of all the materials testing will be presented upon completion of the project.
