Scope of work:
As a response to the growing membership in the Antelope Valley, Kaiser Permanente is increasing its service with a new 100,000 square-foot Medical Center. The Medical Center will incorporate several renewable energy elements, and is planned to be a net-zero building. It will include a community wellness center with exercise stations, walking trails, an amphitheater, and a farmer’s market. The facility is a Type llA, structural steel, three-story, 136,580 square-foot medical office building. The project will include a General Physician Professional Services “B Occupancy” building for Outpatient Services including a lab and pharmacy. It will also include a 10,000 square-foot Ambulatory Health Care Facility. This building will be constructed with structural steel side-plate moment connections.

RMA Group is providing geotechnical field services, construction materials testing, and special inspection in accordance with OSHPD code requirements. Our team has assigned a lead inspector to manage the overall inspection requirements for the project, coordinate additional staff as needed, and maintain project inspection reports and documents. Our lead inspector holds multiple certifications and is capable of providing inspection support for multiple ongoing construction activities simultaneously. This approach has provided Kaiser with efficient quality management, proving that RMA is capable of executing the required testing and inspection activities proactively.
