Colonies Crossroads option 3

Colonies Crossroads
Location: Upland, CA
Client: Colonies Crossroads, Inc.
Construction Cost: $200,000,000
The Colonies Crossroads, situated in the heart of the growing Foothill Communities, serves the cities of La Verne, Claremont, Montclair, Upland, Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, and Rialto. It is part of The Colonies at San Antonio, a $500-million, 434-acre master-planned community, which includes 1,100 single-family homes and 305 residential units conveniently located along the new Interstate 210 at Campus Avenue.

The project covers an area of over one million square feet and consists of commercial, retail, entertainment, residential, and other community-oriented features.  The commercial components of this project consist of a new Target, Kohl’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Bed Bath & Beyond, and LA Fitness.  Additional tenants include Albertsons Vitamin Shoppe, Wells Fargo Bank, and Banner Mattress.

RMA has been involved with this project from its very early stages, providing 15 years of environmental reports and geotechnical design efforts to get the initial plans approved. After extensive planning in coordination with Colonies Crossraods Inc., RMA spent the next five years performing mass-grading observation and soils testing during grading operations. The construction included a soil nail wall along the northern boundary and mechanically stabilized earth walls along its southern boundary to support the building pads. After completion of the infrastructure and grading work, RMA Group provided special inspection and construction materials testing for the various retailers that occupy the site.
